Collector orders closure of all meat shops in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: The District Collector K Rajamani announced today that all meat shops will be closed until further notice. He said this while addressing the press today to update the developments in Coimbatore to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

Coimbatore: The District Collector K Rajamani announced today that all meat shops will be closed until further notice. He said this while addressing the press today to update the developments in Coimbatore to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

He said that “The meat shops are hereby being ordered to be closed down until further notice. This move is taken to control the crowding that is happening in meat shops. This includes shops selling mutton, chicken and fish stalls.”

“When those shops can be opened again will be informed at a later date”, he said.
