All train cancelations extended until April 14

Coimbatore: Prime Minister Modi has issued a 21-day curfew in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and the Railways Department has announced that it will suspend passenger train services until April 14.

Coimbatore: Prime Minister Modi has issued a 21-day curfew in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and the Railways Department has announced that it will suspend passenger train services until April 14.

The central government and state governments have taken various measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus across the country. As a result, the Railways Department announced that all passenger trains will be terminated from March 22 to March 31. It was also announced that a full refund will be made for any ticket reservations during that time. 

Prime Minister Modi has since issued a nationwide curfew for 21 days following the rapid increase in coronavirus transmission. He called for all people to stay home and support the curfew. The Railways Department has announced that all passenger train services will be cancelled till April 14 following the 21-day curfew announced by Prime Minister Modi.

It has been reported that suburban trains will also not operate in all metropolitan areas. Passengers can cancel their booked tickets until June 21 and get a refund. Waiting room operation time has been increased for passengers who have found it difficult in Railway stations. 

At the same time, freight transport of essential commodities will continue without any stoppage.
