Unemployed youth can apply for scholarship scheme - District Collector

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Government is providing monthly scholarships to educated unemployed youth who have registered in the Employment Office.

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Government is providing monthly scholarships to educated unemployed youth who have registered in the Employment Office.

The scheme provided Rs. 200 for those who have failed their 10th Standard, Rs. 300 for those who have passed their 10th standard, Rs. 400 for 12th standard pass, Rs. 600 for graduates and post-graduates. To be eligible for this scholarship, one must be registered with the District Employment Office and be on the waiting list for over five years. 

For differently-abled candidates to be eligible for the scheme, they should have been registered for one year. Differently-abled youth who have passed or failed their 10th standard will get Rs. 600, Rs. 750 for those who have passed 12th standard, Rs. 1000 for graduates and post-graduates. As of December 31, 2019, Adivasi and Tribals above 45 years of age and others not more than 40 years of age are eligible for this scheme.

The family income of the petitioner should not exceed Rs. 72,000. There is no income limit for differently-abled registrants. The petitioner should have completed his schooling or college in Tamil Nadu and resided here for 15 years. The petitioner must be unemployed.

They should not be a student who goes to an institution every day but applicants doing postal education can apply. The applicant must be continuously updating the employment office record during the period of receipt of the scholarship. Those who are eligible for this scholarship can immediately obtain a form at the Coimbatore District Employment Office or download it on the website https://tnvelaivaaippu.gov.in.

Applicants who are already receiving the scholarship can continue to earn scholarships by updating their details. The beneficiaries need to send their self-attested document with the Bank Account Book Copy (Account No, MICR, IFSC Code) with the details, either directly or by post.

The self-pledge document form can be downloaded at https://employmentexchange.tn.gov.in/. Those who have not submitted their self-pledge document cannot continue to receive scholarships. The district collector asked them to submit the self-pledge document to the Coimbatore District Employment Office to get the scholarship.
