Coimbatore: According to a press release, a one-day training session will be held for the elected candidates of the rural local body polls, held recently.
The session will be inaugurated by Minister SP Velumani on Thursday and will be attended by MPs and MLAs of the region.
During the session, the elected Panchayat representatives will be apprised of their primary duties, priorities, holding grievance meetings, redressal, and distribution of welfare schemes.
