Indian Election Commission extends Electors Verification Programme till November 18

The Indian Election Commission that has launched the Electors Verification Programme (EVP) to facilitate voters to check their details in the 2020 Voters ID list on their own, has extended the programme till November 18, 2019.

The Indian Election Commission that has launched the Electors Verification Programme (EVP) to facilitate voters to check their details in the 2020 Voters ID list on their own, has extended the programme till November 18, 2019.

The EVP will be until November 18, 2019 (Monday.) The integrated voters' list will be published on November 25, 2019 and requests on changing, adding or removing data will be done from November 25, 2019 to December 24, 2019. The final voters' list will be released on or before January 20, 2020.

The EVP facilitates the voters to check for their details with their passport, driving license, Aadhar card, Family card or any other proof approved by the Indian Election Commission.

The voters can check the voters list through Voter's Helpline App or website service NVSP or General Service Centers or Voting poll booth. Voters can check if their name, date of birth, age, relation's name, relationship, photo, gender are correct in the list. And if there are any corrections to be made, it can be done online or in the voting poll booth or through the voting poll booth officer.

During this programme, the voting poll booth officer will go door-to-door to collect the data. If any individual's name is missing from the list, deceased or permanently shifted to another place, then their details and proof can

be given to the respective voting poll booth officer. Individuals who are eligible to vote in another two years can also give their details to the officers.

During this programme, the public can recheck the information provided on the voters' list. The voters can give the Voting Position Officer the forms for name inclusion (form 6), name exclusion (form 7), change in entry (form 8 or 8A).

The elderly and physically disabled voters can call the toll-free number 1950 of the district administration and update their details on the voter list.
