Following red alert, holiday declared for educational institutions in Nilgiris on Tuesday

The Nilgiris : Following IMD's red alert for the district of Nilgiris, holiday has been announced for all schools and colleges for the second consecutive day.

The Nilgiris : Following IMD's red alert for the district of Nilgiris, holiday has been announced for all schools and colleges for the second consecutive day. 

Around 67 areas in the district has been ear-marked as sensitive areas, prone to landslides. All people living in those areas have been relocated to rescue camps where they are being provided with food and blankets. 

And, round-the-clock rescue teams have been formed under the supervision of the District Collector to monitor the damages, due to rains.
