Dist. Level Special Grievance Committee to look into complaints on VAOs instituted

Coimbatore: A special grievance committee is being set up at the District Collectorate for the public to lodge complaints with regard to irregularities concerning village Administrative Officers (VAO) working in Coimbatore About 292 VAOs are working in the three Revenue divisions and 11 circles in the district.


Coimbatore: A special grievance committee is being set up at the District Collectorate for the public to lodge complaints with regard to irregularities concerning village Administrative Officers (VAO) working in Coimbatore  About 292 VAOs are working in the three Revenue divisions and 11 circles in the district.

To enable the public to make specific complaints the grievance unit is being set up at the district level. 

The committee would be headed by District Collector's Personal Assistant (General) who will function as its Chairman, A Tahsildar, would be deputed as Office Manager (Criminal) as a Special Tahsildar (Disaster Management) would be deputed as a member.

This committee will function during the week days at the Personal Assistant’s (General) office located on the first floor of the District Collector's office.

Members of the public who want to lodge any complaints regarding VAOs working in Coimbatore district can do it directly or by post to the grievance committee set up.
