Minister Ma Subramanian inaugurates AJK College of Nursing building; promises a govt nursing college in every district

While addressing the gathering, Ma. Subramanian said, "More than 2000 students pursue education through this institution, where it represents the value and quality of education."


Coimbatore: Ma. Subramanian, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu on Friday inaugurated the AJK College of Nursing Building, located at Navakkarai, Coimbatore.

This Co-Educational college is affiliated with MGR Medical University, Chennai and recognized by the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.



The TN Minister of Health presided over the inaugural ceremony by lighting the lamp accompanied by R.Vetriselvan, Deputy Mayor, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation, Dr. A. Nirmala, Dean, Govt. Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital, Coimbatore, Dr. P. Aruna, Deputy Director of Health Services, Coimbatore, Dr. S.V. Kandasami, Chairman, Vedanayagam Hospital Pvt.Ltd, Coimbatore, in the presence of Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, Chairman & Secretary AJK Educational and Charitable Trust, Syndicate Member – Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and Dr.V.Brindha, Principal, AJK College of Nursing, Coimbatore.



While addressing the gathering, Ma. Subramanian said, "More than 2000 students pursue education through this institution, where it represents the value and quality of education."

He appreciated the Eco-friendly campus and the representation of art and culture throughout the campus. He mentioned that Nursing is always in demand. Owing to this, 100% priority is given to nursing students from Tamil Nadu in countries like Europe and London. Unlike no better inspiration, nurses imbibe traits of Mother Teresa, who is an icon of hospitality.

Alongside, he noted that Nursing Institutions are currently existing across 22 districts, through further instruction from CM Stalin, the proposal to establish Nursing educational institutions in the other 14 districts is underway. The process to seek grant and approval from the Centre is progressing and soon to be expected.

He concluded with a note "Well began is half done".
