There is no one to help shape students if teachers also drop out: Nagaraja Murugan, director of Tamil Nadu Matriculation Schools in Coimbatore

Nagaraja Murugan, director of Matriculation Schools, said that it is the teachers who should pay more attention and take care of the students at the award ceremony held at Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: The award ceremony for the best matriculation school and teachers in Coimbatore district was held at the premises of a private school in Ramanathapuram area of Coimbatore.

Director of Tamil Nadu Matriculation School Nagaraja Murugan, District Chief Education Officer, District Education Officers, Private School Founders and teachers participated in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagaraja Murugan, Director, Matriculation Schools, Tamil Nadu, said, "Coimbatore has many traditions. It is also known for industrial development, educational institutions and medical facilities.

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is paying more attention to the school education department and holding various meetings and listening to the views of matriculation schools and taking steps. The school education department has been brought under one umbrella.

The present government has given importance to matriculation schools and issued an order appointing district education officers for all the 38 districts of Tamil Nadu. The school is taking swift action if there is any deficiency in the education sector.

I want to thank the Government of Tamil Nadu for that. Moreover, our state is the best state in terms of school, college, university and education. Tamil Nadu tops the list of states. In today's scenario, students are getting addicted to social media and cell phones.

They have been addicted to drugs in the recent past and that has not been the case so far and teachers need to take note of the condition in which the students are. Teachers should not be just a teaching machine.

Special trainings should be provided along with the syllabus. If the teachers also abandon the students, there will be no one to digest them and it is the teachers who have to pay extra attention and take care of the students.”
