CCMC Commissioner inaugurates 4-month special computer training course for Corporation school students

Over 17 Corporation Higher Secondary Schools are functioning in Coimbatore Corporation and a total of 3673 students in eleventh standard and twelfth standard are studying in these schools.


Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner M Prathap inaugurated a four-month special computer training course on behalf of the corporation administration for the eleventh class and twelfth class students of Selvapuram Corporation High School, Coimbatore.



“Hon'ble Chief Minister of TamilNadu has been announcing and implementing various schemes including housing and education for the welfare of the students. Over 17 Corporation Higher Secondary Schools are functioning in Coimbatore Corporation and a total of 3673 students in eleventh standard and twelfth standard are studying in these schools.” said Coimbatore Commissioner M Prathap.



He added that Computer knowledge is essential for school students, this creates an opportunity to learn about computer technology and applications which enhance computer knowledge for students. Moreover, India excels in exporting various types of software to different countries around the world and one among them is Coimbatore district, the best industrial city in Tamil Nadu.

Therefore, on behalf of Corporation Norwagam, in collaboration with SYMK Technologies, Coimbatore, Micro soft Office, Tally 9 and PYTHON Computer Language (8th August 2016) are conducting special training courses for a period of four months. As per the curriculum, each student will be given 32 hours of computer training. In which, students will have to submit a project report as a team at the end of the training program.

Also, it is planned to provide efficient computer training to the graduating students. Consequently students must spare extra time and utilize the training given by the instructors in an effective way and flourish skills,” said Coimbatore Commissioner M Pratap

After that, he examined the quality of the food that was ready to be served to the students of the school and instructed them to provide quality and tasty food. Then he ordered the health inspector to inspect the school's toilet and maintain it in a hygienic manner. Besides, Coimbatore Corporation Principal Education Officer Rajasekhara Pandian, School Principal Thoovasakayam and teachers and students also participated in this event.
