ICSI signs Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Collaboration with Bharathiar University


Coimbatore: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), New Delhi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, under the “ICSI Academic Collaborations” initiative yesterday (December 14).



A panel discussion was organised on the topic “Strategic Plan for Implementation of NEP in Universities & Professional Institutes” through virtual mode which was followed by the MOU signing ceremony. The objective of the MOU is to bring together the efforts of the two institutions for imparting knowledge and honing the skills of students, academicians and professionals of both the Institutions.

Emphasising on the need for such collaborations, CS Ashish Garg, President ICSI, said “This undertaking would not just help in fostering the relationship between the two partner institutes but would also promote Executive Education Programmes” CS Nagendra D Rao, Vice President, The ICSI, appreciated the University’s efforts for taking up this initiative that will benefit the students and members of both the Institutions.

Sharing his happiness on Bharathiar University joining hands with ICSI, Dr. P. Kaliraj, Vice Chancellor, Bharathiar University said that “this MoU will not only help in developing the skills by enhancing the curriculum but will also build character of the students. Dr. K. Murugan, Registrar (i/c), Bharathiar University also graced the occasion and congratulated both the Institutions for this Academic Collaboration. CS N Singaravel, Chairman-ICSI Coimbatore Chapter delivered vote of thanks. Prof. Dr. M. Sumathy, Head of the department of commerce made arrangements for the MoU signing ceremony with the ICSI Coimbatore chapter.

CS S Kannan, Chairman, ICSI-SIRC, Dr. S K Jena, Director- ICSI, Shri. DVNS Sarma, Regional Director, ICSI-SIRO, Lakshmi Arun, Joint Director, Academicsand Managing Committee Members of the Coimbatore Chapter representing the ICSI and Professors of the Bharathiar University and other delegates along with participants virtually attended the MoU signing ceremony.
