PSG Tech signs MoU with EMURGO Academy; offers blockchain courses to students
Coimbatore: PSG College of Technology, on Thursday signed an MoU with EMURGO Academy to offer blockchain technology courses.
With this collaboration, PSG Tech and EMURGO Academy Ignitive labs will offer an internationally aligned curriculum on blockchain, designed by experts from the industry.
EMURGO will offer junior fellowship program to selected students from the trained pool. Later, the trained students will be provided with a fully paid fellowship in New York for a period of 6 months.
This MoU will also offer sponsorship to selected students to attend the annual international conference to be held in Japan or Singapore, this year.
In the recent times, 'Blockchain' technology has ignited keen interest amongst students. From underlying fundamentals of blockchain technology, the students will be fostered with holistic understanding through blended learning approach.
"Blockchain technology is gradually gaining momentum in both public and private sectors in India. We are already witnessing an increased demand for blockchain experts and certainly, it will grow further in the near future", said E. Venkatesan, CEO of EMURGO Academy.
He also added that "India is still facing a talent demand and supply gap. The issue can be addressed only when more students enrol themselves for such courses. Our partnership with PSG tech aims to train students who are willing to explore their career in blockchain space.
