Train No. 16322 Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express will run via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani on September 3, skipping stations including Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur and Irugur. The train will be short-terminated at Dindigul.
Coimbatore: Train No. 16322 Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express, scheduled to depart Coimbatore Junction at 8 a.m., will run on a diverted route between Coimbatore and Dindigul on September 3, 2026.
According to the Salem Division of Southern Railway, sleeper renewal and track maintenance works are being carried out between Murthipalayam and Karur railway stations. To facilitate the works, the train will operate via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani on September 3.
As a result, the train will skip its scheduled stoppages at Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Irugur, Sulur, Somanur, Tiruppur, Uttukuli, Erode, among other stations. However, alternative stoppages will be provided at Podanur, Pollachi, Udumalaippettai, Palani and Oddanchatram railway stations.
The train will also be short-terminated at Dindigul Junction. It will operate only between Coimbatore Junction and Dindigul Junction and will not run from Dindigul Junction to Nagercoil Junction on September 3.
Passengers travelling on the Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express on September 3 are advised to take note of the revised route and stoppages.
