Coimbatore: The Electricity Board has announced a scheduled power outage for tomorrow (October 14) in several areas of Coimbatore due to monthly maintenance work at the MG Road substation. The power cut will be in effect from 9 AM to 4 PM.

The affected areas include SIHS Colony, Sakthi Nagar, Nethaji Puram, Amman Nagar, J.J. Nagar, Ganga Nagar, Bethel Nagar, Vasantha Nagar, a part of Ondipudur, Ondipudur Trichy Road, VKN Nagar, Textool area, and Sri Mookambika Nagar.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly for the seven-hour power interruption. The Electricity Board has stated that this maintenance work is essential to ensure the continued efficiency and reliability of the power distribution system in the city.

Regular maintenance of electrical substations is crucial for preventing unexpected breakdowns and ensuring a stable power supply. The Electricity Board typically schedules these maintenance activities during off-peak hours to minimize inconvenience to the public.
