According to state highways department officials, 42 per cent of the avinashi road flyover work has been completed. An overhead runway has been constructed between 80 pillars. So far, Rs 481 crore has been spent.

In order for the public to cross the road without any difficulty, the underpass will be constructed in five areas - Krishnammal College, KMCH, Hospital, GRG, School, PSG College and Lakshmi Mill Junction.
