The zero star hotel in Switzerland doesn't have walls or a ceiling but you won't be complaining

It's not often that you get to use Switzerland and absurd in the same sentence, but there wouldn't be any other way to describe this hotel. Good absurd, of course. It might be called the Zero Star hotel but it'll definitely be one of the greatest hotels you'll ever check into in your lifetime.

Located in the mystical Swiss Alps, the Zero Star hotel is a unique experience being offered by the Null Stern Hotel. And with no ceiling, walls or doors, this open air hotel is definitely more of an art form and an experience than just a stay. It's hard to believe, but when you check in to this one-room-experience, all you get is a tiny floor with a bed on it, a couple of bedside tables, a couple of bed lamps and a view that's capable of taking your breath away.

A holiday accommodation transformed into an art form by the Null Stern Hotel, the Zero Star Hotel has only one room available. Located at a height of 6,463 feet above sea level, staying here would set you back by approximately 15,000 bucks or $210 a night.

The idea was the brainchild of artists Frank and Patrik Riklin and hospitality professional Daniel Charbonnier in hope that it will showcase the beauty of Switzerland's landscapes. Located in Safiental, the hotel comes with a private butler who will cater to your needs. Living in a cabin nearby, he will also cook and serve in the bed itself. Oh, and in case you're wondering if you might have to urinate or defecate in public, do not fret. There is no bathroom, but the guests can use a public restroom 10 minutes away from the room/bed.

Weather plays an important role here too, obviously, as reservations can be cancelled on short notice because of poor weather.
