The team reached the Juyongguan Wall much before it opens for the day. They decided not to visit Badaling since it was a renowned tourist spot and the most-visited section of the Great Wall.
Team Captain, Meenakshi recalls her XPD 2470, a trip from Coimbatore to London in 2017, when she had a glimpse of the Overhanging Great Wall /Jiayuguan in the Gansu province. "It was very similar in appearance to the Great Wall at Badaling which is also known as 'Western Badaling,' she opines.
The team resumed the day's journey after their visit to the Great Wall, had a couple of stops in between for lunch and bio breaks and reached Panjin at 6.30 pm. The roads to Panjin were excellent though they had to brave a lot of truck traffic en route.
