The team left Aralsk at 8 am. The roads were flat and uninspiring. They reached Aktobe by 2:45. The Indian Embassy of Astana had organised a few visits for them there. Dr Rafiq arrived at 5 pm sharp to take them to the Palace of Children School .

They were taken around the school by the deputy director herself and enlightened on the various forms of art, crafts and culture.

Music, dance, art, gymnastics, knitting, theatre and sewing were beautifully showcased here.

The team was absolutely astounded by the talented children they met at the school. They also spoke about their rotary mission and distributed brochures .

Next stop was at the Medical University where they met about 54 Indian children. Dr .Rafiq then took them to the hostel where the kids themselves had cooked dinner for them. The team was touched beyond words . After dinner they had the opportunity to discuss and share details about the Rotary India Literacy Mission .
It was indeed a fulfilling day!
