XPD2470 team shares their experience of travelling 404 kms from Jiauguan to Dunhuang City on Day 27.
'Freezing cold all night and NO HOT WATER ! We were very glad to leave at 9.15 am after the routine checks. First stop Jiauguan - Over hanging Great Wall of China.

The Overhanging Great Wall, was built on a steeply sloping valley mouth. When viewed from afar, the wall looks like a magnificent painting hanging over the cliff, which is how it got its name. We trudged up half way and gave up after that ! However, we didn't make it to the top. Lots of pics taken to say that we saw the Great Wall,Ahem!

We got the opportunity to talk to some people about our Mission and Rotary, who were very inquisitive about our car. Abby was of great help in explaining our Literacy Mission. Brochures and reading materials were distributed.

The terrain was turning into a desert look. It was a quick easy drive and we arrived at Dunhuang city, Gansu Province.
Our hotel turned out totally awesome, only the people who helped unload out car were shocked. As we decided to unload Dhannu fully, hoping to have her cleaned inside and out before we start for tomorrow and also re-organise our bags a bit !
We strolled down to the local night market and a bit of shopping and Chowmein dinner.'
