Coimbatore : The Baptist Academy Matric Higher Secondary School has won the league match in the Junior and Senior category of the Reliance Youth Sports Foundation's football tournament held at Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science, here on Tuesday.
Coimbatore : The Baptist Academy Matric Higher Secondary School has won the league match in the Junior and Senior category of the Reliance Youth Sports Foundation's football tournament held at Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science, here on Tuesday.

In the Junior category, Baptist Academy faced VCV Shishu Vidhyalaya Matric Higher Secondary School and registered a massive 7-0 win. Unlike the Juniors, the Seniors though had to fight hard for a victory. Baptist Academy won the Seniors match by 2-1 against VCB Shishu.
Around 80 schools from the Coimbatore region are participating in the seven-day tournament. The tournament was conducted under two categories - Junior boys (from Class VII to X) and Senior boys (Class XI and XII).

The Reliance Youth Sports foundation is an initiative driven by the Reliance Foundation, CSR front of the Reliance Group, which focuses on providing a platform for youth sports in India, especially at the school and collegiate levels. Currently, eight cities are a part of the Foundation’s long-term goal which aims at establishing a sports association, similar to the NCAA of the United States of America that controls and collaborates with schools and athletes.
