More than 3000 students from various countries to take part in International Karate Championship

Coimbatore : More than 70 students from Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu, kerala, Karnataka, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Andra Pradesh took part in the one-day International Karate camp held at Sri Krishna college of arts and science (SKCAS), on Saturday.


Coimbatore : More than 70 students from Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu, kerala, Karnataka, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Andra Pradesh took part in the one-day International Karate camp held at Sri Krishna college of arts and science (SKCAS), on Saturday.

Following the camp, more than 3000 participants from countries like Malaysia, Bangladesh, Iran, Indonesia and India are expected to take part in the 3rd international open karate championship which is to be held on Sunday at SKCAS. 



Top karate coaches - Hosein Parsi from Iran, Ramesh Kumar and Vikas from India, Ardi Rudanto of Indonesia, Aruna Soysa from Sri Lanka, Sruvo Islam from Bangladesh shared their experiences with the students and taught them modern karate techniques.

Talking at the inauguration of camp, Dr. P Baby Shakila, Principal of SKCAS stated that "Parents should allow their children to take part in physical activities and sports. Among other sports, Karate helps students to gain willpower and confidence".



Dr. Vijaya Samundeshwari, Vice Principal, Dr. C Kumaresan, Physical Director of SKCAS were present during the camp.
