Coimbatore: Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) clinched the trophy in the Anna University Zone XI men's hockey tournament, held at the KCT grounds, today. The host faced United Instituteof Technology (UIT) in the finals and defeated the visitors as 1-0, to emerge as champions of Anna University Zone XI hockey tournament.

In another match for the third place, PPG Institute of Technology defeated Sri Shakthi College of Engineering (2-0) for the third place. Nirmala Devi, Physical Director of Kumaraguru College of Technology presented the trophy to the winners. More than 20 teams from various colleges under the zone XI of Anna University competed for the trophy.
The top two teams in the tournament will play the Anna University inter zone tournament to be held later this year.
