Tirupur: Coimbatore: Coimbatore and Chennai schools emerged victorious and lifted trophies in the South Zone Inter School Hockey tournament which was held in Kallar. The Kovai Kallar Sachidanantha Niketan School lifted the trophy in the Under 17 category held for both boys and girls in this tournament.

The tournament between CBSC schools commenced on September 27 with over 50 schools and 1500 students from all southern states took part in the tournament. While Velammal School, Chennai, won in the Under 19 age category for girl students, Sainik School from Andhra Pradesh won in the boys category.
The Superintendent of CBSC Schools, Gowtham, and Kavignar Kavidasan distributed the trophies to the winning teams.
