Coimbatore : Dr. NGP college of arts and science has won the Bharathiar University 'A' zone Inter collegiate Kabaddi tournament hosted by Sankara college of Science and commerce in the city on Tuesday.
Coimbatore : Dr. NGP college of arts and science has won the Bharathiar University 'A' zone Inter collegiate Kabaddi tournament hosted by Sankara college of Science and commerce in the city on Tuesday.
In a tough finals, Dr. NGP College of Arts and Science and CMS College of Science and commerce competed against each other. Right from the start, the zealous players of NGP college lead the game and defeated CMS with a decent lead of 15 ( 34-19). Later, they were crowned as champions of 'A' zone
In a separate match between Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya (SRKV) and Sankara College, SRKV defeated Sankara College by 6 points (32-26).
Totally 14 colleges participated in the tournament which started on September 17.
Earlier, H. Balakrishnan, Principal of Sankara college inaugurated the tournament.
The prizes were presented to the winners by Dr. G Kumaresan, Asst.Prof Physical education department, Bharathiar University in the presence of H. Balakrishnan, principal of Sankara college and Munisamy, Physical Director of Sankara College.
