Coimbatore : A three-day orientation course for Physical Directors and Physical Education (PE) teachers begun today at the Nehru Stadium, here in the city.
This is a three-day orientation program to explain the rules and methods of new games introduced by Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT). Around 50 teachers selected by the chief education office are participating in the program.
The methods, rules and regulations of games such as squash, gymnastics, boxing, swimming, road cycling, beach volley ball, silambam, judo, taekwondo were explained to the physical education teachers by experts from various federations.
Certificates, daily allowance and travel allowance is being provided by SDAT to those PE teachers attending the orientation course.
