Coimbatore: Faisal Qamar of Rajasthan and Telangana's Nidhi Chilumula clinched the men's and women's singles titles in the All India Tennis Association (AITA) national level tennis championship. The championship was organised by KG Ramesh Tennis Academy.

Around 64 players from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra, Karnataka, Delhi, Odisha, Telangana and Gujarat participated in the championship which started on the 3rd of this month.
In the men's singles finals, top seed Faisal Qamar of Rajasthan outplayed a tired Anurag Nenwani of Delhi in the 2nd set, and earned a straight set victory 6-3,6-1 to emerged as champion.
In the women's singles, Nidhi Chilumula of Telangana state defeated Karnaraka's Deeksha Manju Prasad 6-2, 6-1 in the finals and lifted the trophy. A total cash prize worth Rs 2 lakh was awarded to the winners of the tournament.
