Coimbatore: The final race of the Indian National Racing Championship begins tomorrow at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai. The three-day event is organised by Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) in association with MRF Tyres.
Chennai: The final race of the Indian National Racing Championship begins tomorrow at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai. The three-day event is organised by Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) in association with MRF Tyres.
The race comprises of four different categories - FLGB 1300, MRF 1600, VW Ameo Cup and Saloon Cars. A total of 20 contestants are participating in the race which includes two official practice sessions - the qualifier session and a race. Based on the time clocked in the qualifier session lap by individual drivers, the cars will be given their positions on the grids for the start of the race.
Gowdham Murugan, the 29-year old Coimbatore-based national level racer will be competing in the final race of the Championship under the Formula 1300 category. "In the last round I managed to have a jump from Position 15 to Position 4 after a good fight ont he tracks, and that is real racing to me when we fight and earn the position," says Gowdham.
