Coimbatore: The Annual Sports day of Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School was celebrated in its school grounds at Mettupalayam. The Deputy Inspector of General of Police (Coimbatore Range) G. Karthikeyan was the chief guest at the event, which included a grand parade of the four school teams Agni, Prithvi, Akash and Tirisool. Students further enthralled the spectators by staging a ‘kuruvanakkam dance,’ a body building competition, the famous folk dance of Maharashtra ‘Lesin’ and a band parade.

In the athletic meet, ‘Akash’ grabbed the overall championship followed by ‘Agni,’ ‘Prithvi’ and Tirisool. D I G Karthikeyan awarded the trophies and certificates to the winners. Alumni Arun Prasad and Abinaya regaled the students with nostalgic memories of their school days.
