Coimbatore : An Inter-school band competition is to be conducted at Yuvabharathi Public School in Coimbatore on September 2 by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore district. The competition will be from 9 am to 6 pm at the Turf Grounds of Yuvabharathi Public School, Kanuvai, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore : An Inter-school band competition is to be conducted at Yuvabharathi Public School in Coimbatore on September 2 by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore district. The competition will be from 9 am to 6 pm at the Turf Grounds of Yuvabharathi Public School, Kanuvai, Coimbatore.
Briefing media, Rtn.Jyothish Pillai, PR Head, Rotary Club of Coimbatore said that apart from improving the music skills of children, the competition will aid in developing their discipline, teamwork, flexibility and time-management skills. "A total of 23 teams drawn across from 27 schools with a total of 1000 students will be participating in the event," added Rtn.Joseph Paul, President, Rotary Club of Coimbatore. "This year is our Platinum Jubilee Year and we are conducting this competition among all the districts in the Kongu belt. Additionally, one team from Pondicherry has also confirmed participation. The competition will be held in 2 sessions, with 14 teams participating in the morning session from 10 a.m to 12.30 a.m., whilst the remaining 13 teams will perform in the afternoon session from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. A total of 20 judges will be judge the performances to choose the winner," he further added.
