Coimbatore: Armaan and Nitin Pranav won the State Level Junior Open tennis tournament held by Moxiee Tennis school here at Thudiyalur in the city between August 17-19.
Coimbatore: Armaan and Nitin Pranav won the State Level Junior Open tennis tournament held by Moxiee Tennis school here at Thudiyalur in the city between August 17-19.
The tournament was conducted under various categories, Under 10, 12, 14 and 18 years of age. More than 200 players across the state participated in the championship and exhibited their skills.
In the finals of the tournament which held on Sunday Nitin Pranav defeated P T Subash (9-5) and emerged as champions under 18 years category. Similarly in under 14 years category it was Armaan Ahmed defeated Tharun vikram 6-4 to claim the title. In under 10 and 12 years category Thirumurugan and Haricharan won the title.
In doubles category pair of Nitin Pranav and K K Siddharath defeated Subash and Sundaraganapathy 8-0. In under 14 category Siddharth Gowthaman and S D Akilesh registered their win over Haricharan and Sri Kumar 7-1 in the finals to become champions.
