Coimbatore: Sri Jeyandra Saraswathi Vidhyalaya School (SJSV) from Coimbatore qualified to the semifinals of the State level inter-school cricket tournament which is taking place at Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology here.
Coimbatore: Sri Jeyandra Saraswathi Vidhyalaya School (SJSV) from Coimbatore qualified to the semifinals of the State level inter-school cricket tournament which is taking place at Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology here.
A total of 34 teams from Coimbatore, Dindigul, Nilgiris, Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Erode and Karur have taken part in the tournament which is taking place at Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology here.
In the quarterfinals match held yesterday, between SJSV and SDAT Chennai, SJSV won the match by 12 runs.
Batting first SJSV scored 109/6 in 20 overs. And, SDAT Chennai scored only 96/9 at the end of 20 overs and lost the match. In another quarterfinal match, Don Bosco won against SNR Coimbatore by 50 runs.
In the 3rd quarterfinals, Nellainadar, Chennai won Sri Jeyandra Golden, Tirunelveli by 9 runs and AVM Rajeshwari, Chennai won by 32 runs against RKS Coimbatore.
In the first semi-finals, SJSV will play against Don Bosco Chennai and in the second semi-finals AVM Rajeshwari will face Nellainadar Chennai.
