Coimbatore: Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) scored a comfortable 58 run victory over Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) and lifted the trophy in the Inter engineering college cricket tournament held by KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, here.
Coimbatore: Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) scored a comfortable 58 run victory over Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) and lifted the trophy in the Inter engineering college cricket tournament held by KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, here.
Totally 30 teams participated in the tournament which was organised between August 3 - 11 in the grounds of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology.

SIET and CIT played in the finals of the tournament. Though SIET lost two early wickets, they managed to post a competing 144 for 4 In their 20 overs.
Defending a decent score, the bowlers of SIET striked early and CIT managed to score only 86 for 9 in the 20 overs.
Vikram of CIT added 32 for his side. By this, SIET registered a 58 run victory over CIT in the finals and emerged as champions.

Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology 86/9 in 20 overs (Players-Vikram 32, Gopi and Mathi took 3 wickets each for SIET).
