Coimbatore: The second round of MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National racing championship held at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam here yesterday. Arjun Balu, who returned to the track after 5 years bags the first spot in the 15 laps Indian Touring Cars category. Vidhya Prakash and Vijay Kumar from Prime Racing team bagged 2nd and 3rd spot respectively. It is pertinent to mention that all 3 racers belong to Coimbatore.

In the Volkswagen Ameo Cup race, Dhruv Mohite from Kohlapur secured the 1st spot followed by Jeet Jhabakh from Hyderabad and Saurav Bandyopadhyay from Thane. In the Formula LGB 1600 race, Ashwin Datta from Chennai secured the 1st spot. Raghul Rangasamy from Mamallapuram came 2nd in the points table followed by Nirmal Umashanker from Chennai.
In the Super Stock category, Varun Anekar from Race Concepts bagged the first spot. Deepak Ravikumar from Infinite Piston and Srinivas Teja from Performance Racing secured 2nd and 3rd spot respectively.
In the Indian Junior Touring Cars category, Chrys D’Souza from Unimek Racing secured the 1st spot. Prabhu from ARKA Motorsports and Nikunj Vagh from Team N1 scored 2nd and 3rd spots respectively.
In the first round of Formula LGB 1300, Sohil Shah from MSport secured the 1st spot. Nabil Hussain from MSport and Balaprasath from DTS Racing scored 2nd and 3rd spot respectively.
In the second round, Ashwin Datta from Momentum Motorsports came first followed by Rupesh Sivakumar and Nabil Hussain from MSport.
The event organizers said that the remaining rounds were scheduled to happen in Chennai.
