Coimbatore: Larsen and Turbo handed over a sports complex, constructed and funded under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the Tamil Nadu education department yesterday.

Ayyannan, Chief Educational Officer, Coimbatore inaugurated the sports complex at the government higher secondary school in Othakalmandapam.

Speaking at the event, he said, “We thank L&T management for their wholehearted support in creating such a grand facility in Coimbatore. We believe this will help develop the sporting culture in the district and will help students in the government schools to achieve excellence in several sports.”
Venkatasubramanian, Chief Executive and Director, L&T Valves said, “Through this sports facility, we have built a strong foundation, essential for nurturing local sporting talent. With the School Adoption Project, we aim to support the State Education Department in strengthening the facilities in government primary and secondary schools. So far, 11 government schools have been adopted under this project.”
