In the third day of 52nd Nachimuthu Gounder Cup for Men and 16th C.R.I Pumps Trophy for Women Indian Overseas Bank team clashed with Coimbatore District Basketball Association team and the former won the match scoring 89. In the nail baiting match individual performance of players stood out. While Sathish received 17 points Prasanna Venkatesh and Jivanandam scored 16 points each. In the CDBA team which scored 55 points, the performance of Vineeth stood out who scored 14 points.
In the second clash which took between Central Railways team scored victory over Southern Railway team by scoring 74 points. The individual performances which stood out in the match are from Ramya, Ashwathi Thampi and Gayathri, who scored 24 points, 16 and 13 points respectively.

In the ongoing Basketball Tourney, as many as eight leading teams of the country are participating in the Men’s tournament including Income Tax - Chennai, Indian Air Force - Delhi, Sports Authority of Gujarat & Central Reserve Police Force - Delhi, and (Pool B) Indian Overseas Bank - Chennai, Indian Railway - Delhi, Indian Navy - Lonavala and Coimbatore District Basketball Association (CDBA), Coimbatore are to take part in All Indian Basketball tournament.
For the Women's tournament, the eight teams including South Central Railway - Secunderabad, Southern Railway - Chennai, Eastern Railway - Kolkata& Arise Steel – Chennai, KSEB - Thiruvananthapuram, Chhattisgarh State - Bilaspur, North Frontier Railway – Guwahati and Coimbatore District Basketball Association (CDBA), Coimbatore are to take part.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning team. While Rest. 1, 00,000 would awardee to NachimuthuGounder Cup Winner, Rs. 50,000 would be given to the winning team of C.R.I. Pumps Trophy

Vijayakarthikeyan, IAS would, Commissioner and Special Officer, Coimbatore Corporation will be the chief guest of the prize distribution function. while VV.Raja Sathyan, President – Tamilnadu Basket Ball Association has kindly consented to be the Guest of Honour of the inauguration of the event.
