Tamil Nadu Agricultural University women’s team has bagged the overall runners up trophy in The 17th All India Inter Agricultural University Sports Games Meet. It was held at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, from the 25th to the 29th of March. The Kabadi and Volley Ball teams have reached the semi finals.
R. Sangeetha Priya won the Gold medal in Long Jump and Triple Jump, S. Shibani won Gold medal in High Jump and 100m hurdles, S. Uvasree won Gold Medal in Shot Put, S. Megala won Bronze medal in Discus Throw, A. Rajesh Kumar won Gold medal in Javelin Throw ,V. Pandithurai won Silver medal in 5000 m race, and Bronze medals in the 1500m race and G. Vinayaga Moorthy won Bronze Medal in 5000 m race.
The participants were appreciated and applauded by Dr. K. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. C.R. Ananda kumar, Registrar and Dr. S. Mahimairaja, Dean (Agriculture) for their accomplishments.
