About 60 teams from nations like Brazil, UK, USA, Japan among other Asians countries are expected to participate in the soccer tournament that is scheduled to be hosted in Spain from 12 to 16 April this year. Of them is a team from Coimbatore. About 8 members will be a part of the under 11 team and another 11 members will be a part of the under 13 team. All of participants are from 1st kick soccer academy and they are scheduled to leave Coimbatore on 9th April and will reach Spain on the 10th.
Ahead of this tournament, Saravanan of 1st kick soccer academy said “The teams have won various championships that have been hosted at locations like Goa, Hyderabad among other places. If the teams win this championship, they will be awarded a cash prize of rupees 1 crore and a trophy. 1st kick soccer academy has been owning a team for the last 15 years.”
