Tirupur School of Cricket is organizing the Under-16 Challenger Trophy cricket tournament at The Wires Multi-Sports Park, Murugampalayam, Tirupur from July 14.
Eight teams from states including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Pune participated in the tournament. Tirupur and Andhra team faced each other in the final match of the TSC Challenger Trophy cricket tournament. Andhra scored 133 runs in the first innings.
Chasing a target of 134 runs, Tirupur School of Cricket team chased down the target and won the match.
Tirupur District Superintendent of Police Shashank Sai, Sarath Sridhar, Secretary of The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association Palani and others participated in the award ceremony and presented prizes and certificates of appreciation to the winning team and other teams.
