Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has bagged three titles, including that of Overall Champions at the Regional-level Inter-collegiate Sports Meet held at the TNAU campus.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has bagged the overall championship at the Regional-level Inter-collegiate Sports Meet held at the TNAU campus in Coimbatore.

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore conducts inter-collegiate sports competitions every year. In these competitions, students participate with great enthusiasm and showcase their talents. This year's Regional-level competitions began on December 11. Around 1,300 students from 42 colleges participated in the competitions which were held between the four zones.
The Sports Meet was presided over by Dr. V Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor of the University. The Principal of the Student Welfare Centre, Dr. N Maragatham delivered the welcome address. Dr. M Ravi, Commissioner of Police, Tambaram, former DGP of Police was the Chief Guest at the event and felicitated the winners of the competition by awarding them with prizes.
All those who helped in conducting the closing ceremony on December 15 in a grand manner were appreciated by the Assistant Director of Physical Education, Dr. J P Desika Srinivasan as she delivered the vote of thanks.
The results of the Games 2022-23 are as follows: Muhammed Anas, a student of Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College, Trichy, won the Athletics Championship in the men's individual category. V R Swathi, a student of Vazhavachanur Agricultural College bagged the Athletics Championship in the women's individual category.
Similarly, TNAU, Coimbatore won the Overall Sports and Athletics Championships in both categories for men and women. Madurai Agricultural College won the Athletics championship in the overall men's category. Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Horticultural College, Trichy bagged the Athletics championship in the overall category for women.
