S.Gowtham (17) and P.Naveena (15) from Coimbatore took part in the selection on behalf of Tamil Nadu, where Gowtham ranked second in men's category and Naveena ranked first in the women's category selection trials.
The World Roller Games 2022 is the most prestigious skating event in the world which will see close to 4000 skaters from more than 40+ countries around the globe.
The Indian team selection trials for the Alpine event took place in Morini hills - Mohali from 26th - 28th of April 2022. The open age group selection saw skaters from various states actively taking part.
2 skaters in Male & 2 skaters in Female divisions will be selected to represent India at the World level.

They have been training since 2014 under coach Mr. Kanishka Dharani Kumar - former National champion & Coimbatore's first International skater back in 2008.
It is first time in Tamilnadu that 2 skaters from a single club & same city have been selected for the Indian team in alpine event.
