Coimbatore: The JK Tyre FMSCI national racing championship, round 4 was held in Coimbatore in which a Chennai-based racer bagged the first place.
The final matches of the 4th round of JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship 2021 were held at Kari Motor Speed Way in Chettipalayam area of Coimbatore.
The front car racers from Chennai, Coimbatore, Thrissur, Bangalore, Pune, Orissa and Gujarat participated. The final matches were held on Sunday, 27th February, as the National Racing Championship 2021 began Saturday.
The thrilling LGP Formula 4 car race caught audience attention and in the 14-round match, each of the players picked up the pace in a bid to overtake the player's car in front of him.
Chennai racer Vishnu Prasad, who dominated from the first round, topped the list, winning the championship and holding the trophy. This is Vishnu Prasad's 14th national title. Diljit of Thrissur secured second place and Balaprasad of Coimbatore took the third place. In the overall points, Vishnu Prasad, scored 70 points, followed by Diljit, who scored 59 points, followed by Ariya Singh and Sandeep Kumar, who scored 55 points.
Similarly, Alvin Xavier was first in the Royal Enfield Two Wheeler Competition, Mega Viduraj was second and Anish Chetty was third.
The national four and two wheeler competitions, which were conducted adhering Covid measures, were held without visitors but the competition was witnessed by a large number of spectators and members of the public standing on the roads.
