Coimbatore: Over 130 tennis players enthusiastically participated in the State level non ranking tennis tournament 'Rising Star' held at Levo Sports complex here in the city on Sunday.
Coimbatore: Over 130 tennis players enthusiastically participated in the State level non ranking tennis tournament 'Rising Star' held at Levo Sports complex here in the city on Sunday.
The state-level tennis tournament was organised by Levo sports complex in the city outskirts in which more than 130 students from Coimbatore, Tirupur, Mettupalayam, Coonoor, Erode and Karur participated in the tournament.

The tournament was conducted under various age categories- Under 10 mini court, U8,10,12,14,16 and men's singles.

In under 8 years category, Ronnie sailed over Pavan Raj by 6-0 to claim the trophy in his category, in under 10 years finals, Ronnie again emerged winner as he defeats Mithravinda by 6-2 in the finals. And, in under 12 years category, Rohit defeated Saravanan by 6-2 to emerge champion.

In under 14 and 16 years category, Jaicharan claimed two titles by defeating Nihileshwara Raam by 6-2 in under 14 finals and Bala Suriya by 7-6 in under 16 years finals. In under 21 years category, Likeeth emerged winner as he went over Niranjeshwara Ramm by 6-4.
In Red ball mini court, Mahathi Raja claimed the title after he defeated Sai Krishna in the finals by 15-10.
Certificates and medals were presented to the winners of various categories.
