Batting first, team Baroda batsmen showed their form as Mitesh Patel, N.A Rathva and Dhruv Patel scored half-centuries to post 287 in the first innings. Trilok Nag scalped five wickets for Tamil Nadu.
Starting the first innings, the visitors lost their opener, Gauri Sankar, very early and Lokeshwar joined hands with Vimal Kumar to add 83 runs to repair Tamil Nadu's innings and were all out for 207.
Baroda started their second innings with a 55-run lead, came out with intent and scored 287 in the second innings, setting 343 runs as a target for the home team. Playing its second innings, Tamil Nadu were just able to score 138 for 2 in 40 overs, thus resulting in a draw.
