Coimbatore: A Godwin Rubesh's brilliant bowling spell of five for 25 runs went in vain as they fell 9 runs short of the target over Sri Ramakrishna Cricket Trust in the CDCA first division league match held at PSG medical college ground on Sunday.

Batting first Sri Ramakrishna Cricket Trust with the help of S Rathakrishnan and C Sathyanarayanan posted 244 runs on board in 50 overs. In reply, Jolly Rovers Cricket Club managed to score 235 in 50 overs.Thus, Sri Ramakrishna Cricket Trust claimed a win by 9 runs.

Similarly in another first division league match at Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Suryabala Cricket Club claimed an easy 6 wickets win over Rainbow Cricket Club on Sunday.

Scores: PSGIMS ''A'': Sri Ramakrishna Cricket Trust 244/7 in 50 Overs (S.Radhakrishnan 95, C.Sathyanarayanan 93, A. Godwin Rubesh 5/25) defeated Jolly Rovers C.C 235/9 in 50 Overs (J.Koushik 81*, E.Mukesh 57, P.Nirmal Kumar 46, G.Susheel 3/38).

Sri Shakthi: Rainbow C.C 135 in 40.3 Overs (K.Kapil Murugesh 37, S.Shikapdeen 3/20) lost to SuryaBala C.C 137/4 in 26.4 Overs (J.Suresh Kumar 59*).
