Southern Command Inter Battalion (Territorial Army) Cross Country Championship for the year 2016 was hosted on 7 December in our city. A press release stated that 12-kilometer run was organized by 110 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Madras.

About 11 teams comprising of 110 participants participated in this event. Brig TS Sandhu, Commander, Territorial Army Group from Southern Command presented the championship trophy to '108 lnf Bn (TA) MAHAR and runner up trophy to 110 lnf Bn (TA) MADRAS.
