Over 2000 students from 65 engineering colleges across India took part in the Formula Bharat, an engineering design competition in to compete with a life-size Formula-style vehicle in areas of engineering design, overall cost, marketability and dynamic performance. The series replicates the global student Formula series hosted in around 11 countries per year.
Curiosum Tech organised Formula Students Competition here which was conducted under two categories, Combustion and Electric.

The purpose of this competition is encourage engineering students to apply their academics in real time scenarios and learn the art of management and teamwork, which are essential skills required in the ‘real-world’. These student teams are required to build a new vehicle from scratch year-after-year and seek sponsorship and donations by their own means to fund the project.

The first three days of the competition was focussed on a series of speakers and presenters who spoke on pro-driving tips, advice on achieving success in Formula Student, composite parts analysis and validation, career launch in a product startup and electronic design automation.
The track events were conducted on Saturday where skid pad, endurance, autocross, energy efficiency and acceleration of the cars that were created by the students were tested and ranked accordingly.

In combustion category, Indian Institute of Madras secured first place while Vishwakarma Institute of Technology secured second place and Gujarat Technological University secured third place in the competition.
In the electric car category, K.J Somaiya College of Technology claimed the first place while the second and third place of the competition was secured by Pimpri Chinchwad College Of Engineering and College of Engineering, Pune respectively.
