Coimbatore: M Sathish Kumar of Genesis Sports Foundation has retained his gold medal as he bagged gold at the 54th National Cross Country Championship by Telangana Athletic Association at Telangana on Sunday.
Coimbatore: M Sathish Kumar of Genesis Sports Foundation has retained his gold medal as he bagged gold at the 54th National Cross Country Championship by Telangana Athletic Association at Telangana on Sunday.
Sathish participated in the Under-20 (8km) category of the championshipand stopped the clock at 25:06:00 sec to clinch gold. Following Sathish, it was Uttar Pradesh's Rahul Kumar Rajbhar who finished the race second in 25:21:00.
"As an athlete winning a medal is the best feeling. I am very happy that I secured gold for the second time in the National Cross Country Championship," said Sathish Kumar.
Jesudoss Patron of Genesis sports club, Vairavanathan Coach/Secretary congratulated Sathish Kumar for his consistent performance.
