39th Athletic Meet that is being organised by the Sahodaya School was declared open today. Olympian and Arjuna Award winner and Former Indian hockey federation President Vasudevan Baskaran inaugurated this event today at Nehru Stadium.
The awards for the winners will be given by Sahodaya School along with the Ramakrishna Educational Institutions. In this three day event about 2,500 students of 70 schools from the district are participating in the various track and field events.
Correspondent of Sahodaya School, Navamani hoisted the Olympic flag. Assistant Principal Suguna Devi hoisted the school flag. Students of National Model School and PSG School participated in this event.
