Coimbatore: Around 100 cricketers in the city took part in the Coimbatore District Cricket Association's (CDCA) senior team selection trials for S.S. Rajan Trophy (T20) held at Sri Ramakrishna Cricket Nets in the city on Monday.
Coimbatore: Around 100 cricketers in the city took part in the Coimbatore District Cricket Association's (CDCA) senior team selection trials for S.S. Rajan Trophy (T20) held at Sri Ramakrishna Cricket Nets in the city on Monday.
As the trophy is kick-starting on January 21, the selection of players for senior category commenced, today in which 100 players took part.
In the first phase, 28 senior players who were selected will play three selection matches to prove their talent. The final 16 players will represent the Coimbatore District in the upcoming S.S Rajan Trophy T20 tournaments, said the organisers.

The tournament will take place at six centres -- Salem, Theni, Vilupuram, Dindigul, Coimbatore and Tirunelveli. In each centres, five district teams will be playing their first-round matches. The first round of the tournament is scheduled between January 21-25, 2020.
