Coimbatore District Cricket Association (CDCA) has been conducting league matches at various grounds in Coimbatore and Pollachi. In the third division match held at Pollachi, home team NIA and Miracle clashed with each other.
Batting first Miracle CC were 231 all out in 46.3 overs. In reply, NIA Educational Institutions scored only 202 in 39.5 overs. Thus, registering 29 runs victory in the match. M Ashok Kumar's all-round performance of 4 wickets in bowling and 93 runs in batting went in vain.
Similarly, in a second division match held at Rathinam Technical Campus, Rajasekar Mani Memorial Cricket Club (RMMCC) claimed a comfortable 4 wickets victory in a low scoring game against Rainbow KMP Cricket Club.
RMMCC bundled out Rainbow KMP for 116 in 39.2 overs. While chasing a low target, though RMMCC lost 4 wickets for 12 runs, middle-order batsman, Imran Khan took the responsibility in his shoulder to damage RMMCC innings. Imran Khan's 48 runs helped RMMCC to claim victory.
